I keep getting this "Error D:\xxxxx is not valid path for VirtualDub, not installing VobSub VirtualDub Plugin"... I know that the path is correct, since I have a shortcut to that directory that works just fine, yet this vobsub software says it's invalid... Anyone else lose their mind with this software install??? Frank Zappa: "People wouldn't know a good movie if it smacked 'em in the face." Help Installing VobSub.. stupid question? Discussion in 'Video - Software discussion' started by lordyosh, Apr 6, 2004. lordyosh Member Joined: Apr 6, 2004 Messages: 3 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 11 This is pissing me off. When I run the vobsub installer and select the virtualdub plugin, it asks to where the virtualdub directory is. I cannot get it to recognize virtualdub, it keeps saying that is not a valid path and the installer freezes up. I have tried extracting (there no installer for virtualdub right?) virtualdub http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/223468-vobsub-install-problem in different directories and it won't work. it must be something stupid that I'm not doing?? thanks for any help.. lordyosh, Apr 6, 2004 #1 shiroh Guest just direct it to the folder where you put virtualdub. or you can skip the installer part. and get the file from the the vobsub folder (after installing) copy a .vdf file and paste it in http://forums.afterdawn.com/threads/help-installing-vobsub-stupid-question.294578/ the folder named plugin in the virtual dub folder. usually i don't use vobsub. cause it uses the pictures directly from the dvd, and that produces ugly fonts. i use subtitler filter. use subripper to rip it. the only drawback there is a chance subripper may misinterpret the characters. but i take the chance and i do check em. doom9.org that is where you go shiroh, Apr 6, 2004 #2 (You must log in or sign up to reply here.)
